Rhino Revolution will be hosting the ‘Ivory Solution Approach’ to Game Conservation and Management to be demonstrated at Leadwood Big Game Estate on the 24th April 2014.
You may have seen articles about an ‘Intensive Protection Zone’ to be established in the Kruger National Park by SANParks. It is this solution Rhino Revolution will be demonstrating live at Leadwood Big Game Estate (Hoedspruit) on the 24th April 2014 at 09h30. It is an extremely sophisticated solution developed by Eye Remote Solutions and supported by Siyafunda Conservation and Save the Rhino Campaign.
The solution uses cutting edge technology both on the ground and in the air for detection, tracking and interception. It has enhanced surveillance systems for situational awareness and intelligence gathering and if adopted by SANParks it will impact not only on conservation in South Africa but the whole of Africa. Designed specifically to combat poaching it has many other attributes which will contribute to game management in general i.e. fighting poachers, monitoring wildlife, tracking specific animals finding (injured) animals etc. Elements of it retain many industrial uses.
When operational the solution will be effective by both day and night and in most weather conditions providing 24/7 coverage.
The ‘Ivory Solutions Approach’ has never been seen before and may be described as “listening to the wilderness”. Its main benefits and advantages are:
- Situational awareness for decision making and rapid response.
- Reduced human risk.
- Huge savings on operational costs.
- Its ability to follow targets, man and animals, until they are intercepted.
- Auto tracking of specific animals.
- Huge time savings.
- 24/7 coverage.
- Environmentally friendly.
